The wedding shower was today, and it was a lot of fun! Most of my female cousins on my mom's side attended, and a couple aunties on my dad's side sent gifts and cards! I felt a bit overwhelmed by the generosity of my relatives. My mom surprised Alison with a Kitchen Aid mixer--I can't wait to use it!! We've made a resolution not to touch any of the gifts (well, other than to play) until we get our own apartment. We simply can't bring more stuff into the current one.
Today has gotten really nasty as our snow turned into freezing rain and sleet. Right now the roads have a thick layer of black ice which will be covered with snow by morning. Yikes.
Alison and I are still hoping to hit Duluth and Sax-Zim to experience the owl invasion on Monday. I, for one, welcome our new owl overlords.
Oh--and new Christmas photos are up. Check out my gallery. They're not particularly well organized yet, however.
