hmm... halfway through the Alias season-finale. Good stuff.

Dinner was yummy--ginger chicken with mango salsa and garlic, cucumber salad w/Trader Joe's Annie's Goddess Dressing, and rice. Mmm.... However, it didn't beat the Alaskan Crab Quiche that morganlf and I made over the weekend! *sigh* No Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie over here, either... :(

Coming back to the westside after a weekend in Riverside is always kind of a letdown. It's nice to be back in my apartment, but it's hard to leave! *sigh* Today was kind of a waste at lab--I did not get much done. However, exercising at Wooden felt good.

*lol* Gus has grabbed a ribbon off my desk (used to wrap a present for Alison) and has decided it's his new chew toy. Except he can't really get a hold of it.... :)

I need to get tickets tomorrow for the conference in Rio--Janice suggested I go a day or two early and see the sights, which sounds like a good idea to me!

UPDATE: letting Gus swallow ribbons is a bad thing (tm). Triggers instant hair-ball release. ick. ugh. ick.

Be very careful about letting your kitty eat foreign objects --- my parents had a cat who basically killed himself with a weird eating disorder that made him crave paper clips and rubber bands, which tore up his insides irreparably. It was really sad.

that's so sad... gus really just likes ribbons and twist-ties. he doesn't eat the twist-ties, just chases them around the floor. i wasn't actually expecting him to swallow the ribbon... i think he learned his lesson tho, he doesn't seem to want the ribbon anymore...

hmm... soon. i need to pull together all of the photos of him. I also want to checkout the Gallery software that pmb is using... that's way cool.
