(no subject)

So, as everyone who reads morganlf's journal knows by now, we got engaged on Wednesday at the top of Rochester Castle! I'm really excited--it's been unofficial for a while, but now at least it's official. The ring is a round sapphire set with diamonds--I picked it out by myself, and was terrified the whole time!

The last few days have been filled with the British Museum, churches, and the Tower of London. I remembered the Tower as being a whole less Disney-esque than it is today--there isn't an animatronic beheading there yet, but you get the feeling it will be there soon. The weather has been nice for the most part, but today the skies cracked open and we ended up drenched. We scurried onto the tube as drowned rats, before making our way over to Bond Street. Now, the power is out--so we're stuck for a while!
