British movie theatres are excellent, having not just one, but two bars inside. However, unfortunately, the liquor license does not extend to the screening area. So alas, no pints while watching the film! I guess we'll have to wait until we get back to LA to sneak our wine into the theatre.... morganlf and I have a habit of sneaking bottles of wine into the Canyon Crest theatre to enjoy a cheap independent film along with our libation!
We were somewhat lazy today and did laundry and enjoyed a frugal lunch of a fine smoked English cheddar and fresh bread. The grocery stores here put ours back home to shame. There were nearly thirty types of cheeses and an amazing selection of European wines and ciders. Mmm.... you can buy hard apple cider in two gallon plastic jugs, like we sell ginger ale and tonic water back home! This is most excellent.
Tommorrow we continue our adventure in Hardy Country--Dorset County. We'll be staying at a small B&B called the White House Dairy in Piddlehinton, just outside of Dorchester. This may be my last update for a while, as we don't know the status of Internet access in the area! So until later, aufwiedersehen...
