Sep. 2nd, 2003 03:09 pmAnd we have connectivity!
Alison and I are in Salisbury right now, visiting the Cathedral and shortly, Stonehenge. I've been driving around here, which is certainly a somewhat tense task. It's not just driving on the left, but having the steering wheel on the right forces you to reexamine your mental model of the automobile. Your gauge for how wide you are, and how you should fit in the lane is all off. I keep straying too far to the left in the lane, which of course scares Alison who is occupying the left side passenger seat! Tense indeed.
We had the best dinner last night of game pie--venison, pheasant, and rabbit cooked up in a delicious pastry. That, combined with ale and Thatcher's Sweet--the best cider I've had in my life (tastes like applejack!)--made for a feast. The B&B we're staying in is gorgeous. It's part of a farmhouse built in 1622. Anyway, it's time to go.... more later as available...
