(no subject)

Third(fourth?) snow day in a row. I'm beginning to go a bit stir crazy.

The buses that are running are frequently skipping stops because they're too full--and are often delayed. I've heard up to an hour or more...

Stay safe, and if you can, stay home.

Wait. If the buses are running an hour late, doesn't that just count as the next bus?

I'm sorry to hear that. Everything here is on two big hills, and since they're major roadways, they're being sanded, so the buses are all running (except one route that only goes up and down courthouse hill and the courthouse is closed). In the morning, they're a bit behind (like 10 minutes) but they generally seem to get back on time by the end of the day. It takes each route a little longer to complete because everyone's going 20 mph max on a normally 35 mph road. But that would be the same whether you took the bus or not.

Glad to hear you're safe and sound! Is there anything you can walk to?

You'd think it would just be the next bus. In reality, about one out four buses are running successfully and those are going really slowly.
(*Warning: this is observation, not fact*)

Is now a good time to mention that it's roughly 60 and a bit sunny outside? :P
